Race Night Fun!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Race Night evening on Friday 16th November. Members of Chartham Park gathered to enjoy a fun evening to raise funds for the Melanoma Fund. The local charity is this years Captain’s Charity and its aim is to raise awareness of melanoma to outdoor sporting participants.

The generosity of attendees was amazing as 60 ponies (£1,500!) was raised.

Michelle from the charity reported that following Chartham Parks involvement, the charity had been approached by the PGA for a national campaign and the professional cricketer’s association to assist with spreading the news. From small acorns how mighty oaks grow!

The Club Captains; Neil, Jeff and Anna generously sponsored the first races but it was the auction race that created the most excitement. Sponsored by Sports Betting Community for £100 prize money and Lingfield Park Racecourse with complimentary tickets, this race alone raised £480.

Thank you to Matt – one of our Gym Members – who generously donated his winnings to the charity.

A great night for a great cause!

Thank you to everyone.
