Charlotte Alexander National Track and Road Champion U15/U17
At the age of 16, Intermediate Member Charlotte Alexander already has a hugely successful sporting career; she has kindly undated us with her latest achievements:
In November I ran the Milton Keynes Cross challenge (a national British Athletics Cross country series event) in the U20 age category as an U17. I got gold in the U17s and silver in the U20s as the races were run together.
I recently ran the Liverpool Cross Challenge again as an U17 in the U20 race, which doubles up as the European U20 Cross country trials, in which I got gold for the U17s, and 8th in the U0s, which meant frustratingly I was the non-travelling reserve for Europeans. Following this event, I was also selected to run for Great Britain in the U20s at the Great Scottish run held in Stirling in January, in the 4x1km Junior Cross country relay. Other senior athletes competing at the event included Laura Muir.
In March I will compete in the World Junior trials, and the national cross country championships.
Well done Charlotte! We look forward to hearing more about your challenges for 2019.
