Sally, Andy, Debbie and Thomas Complete the Cumbrian Challenge
Wellness Advisor Sally Ure has completed another challenge together with a group of Chartham Park members; Andy Ward, Debbie Ingram and Thomas Wrigley plus a group of friends. In May, they took on The Cumbrian Challenge for the charity Walking With The Wounded which supports wounded veterans.
More than 700 teams came together at the annual challenge in Grasmere. The route across the Langdale Pikes ensured magnificent views and a breathtaking experience for all involved.
The team chose the ‘tougher’ route and walked 9 peaks:
Steel Fell, Calf Crag, Lining Crag, High Raise, Thunacar Knott, Pike O Stickle, Harrison Stickle, Sergeant Mann & Helm Crag.
They completed the challenge in 11 hours covering 32km and scaling 1650m above sea level. Finishing in Grasmere, they also had the opportunity to meet and greet beneficiaries of the charity.
Well done to you all, an excellent life experience and all for such a worthy cause too.
